Greg Palast is a journalist’s journalist from the BBC and the British paper The Observor will be reporting live with Gary from the Democratic Convention in Denver to discuss his views on the shaping of the presidential election and give updates on potential voter fraud.

Prof. Roger Kamentez is a Louisiana State University Distinguished Professor of English and Religious Studies and a dream therapist. His bestseller, The Jew in the Lotus, won the National Jewish Book Award. In this interview, Gary will discuss with Rodger alternative ways of understanding dreams from his recent release The History of Last Night’s Dream.

 

Friday, August 29

            Noon

Prof. James Galbraith is the son of the late famous economist John Kenneth Galbraith and is a distinguished professor and chair of Government and Business Relations at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. Prof. Galbraith and Gary will be discussing how conservative and liberal economics have transformed the US into a “predator state” and the economics of Obama and McCain.

Janet Larsen, Director of Research at the Earth Policy Institute in Washington DC will be sitting in for Dr. Lester Brown for our regular discussion on new developments and challenges in global environmentalism.

Dr. David Dahlman, DC is a chiropractor, nutritionist and author of “Why Doesn’t My Doctor Know This” He will be discussing with Gary the origins for a variety of GI syndromes and their treatment as well as and their relationship to antibiotic use.

Peter Trachtenberg   is a writer and teacher at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. His essays and stories have appeared in the New Yorker, Harpers, NY Times Magazine and Public Space. Peter will be sharing with Gary views about the nature of suffering in our postmodern society.

Dr. Polly Young-Eisendrath, PhD is a Jungian psychoanalyst and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont Medical College. She has written over 10 books on women’s development, couple’s therapy and spirituality. She and Gary will be discussing the traps in our culture’s modern interpretation of self-esteem.

Janine Roberts is an award winning British medical and cultural journalist, author, environmental activist and film maker who has done programs for BBC, ABC in Australia and PBS. Her most recent work has focused on an in depth investigation into the politics behind dangerous viruses, including AIDS and vaccines.

Prof. Gustav Neibuhr  is an Associate Professor in Religion and Media at Syracuse University. His 20 years as a journalist had him working for the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and the Atlanta Constitution where he became one of the nation’s leading reporters on American religion. Prof. Niebuhr and Gary will explore the present American religious landscape and where it might be headed in the future.
