Robert Friedman


Robert Friedman is a freelance writer and filmmaker whose essays, letters and articles on Middle East culture, policy, Israel, Zionism and Jewish issues have been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal's Best of the Web Column, New York Magazine, The Jewish Week, The Forward, Lifestyles, and other publications. He is a frequent speaker on campuses and other venues throughout the United States. His award-winning documentary "More Precious than Pearls" about faith after the Holocaust has been screened at film festivals and other venues from Jerusalem's Cinametec to Berkeley, California & Hong Kong. His short story, "The Victor", was awarded the "best story" by NPR's "Selected Shorts" 2006 competition and was read by Isaiah Sheffer at Symphony Space. Robert earned a Master's degree from Yale University and a BA with Honors in History and Economics from Yeshiva University.
